Senior Electrical Engineer
Responsible for leading electrical design and development of electro-mechanical medical devices across the full product lifecycle.
The role supports projects from early-stage technology development through to commercialization within a cross-functional engineering environment.
Responsibilities
Design electronic assemblies and printed circuit board assemblies to support electro-mechanical product development and lifecycle management
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, systems, and quality engineering to support project timelines and budgets
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards including UL, IEC, and FDA throughout the design process
Conduct design and testing activities for EMI compliance, electrical safety, and manufacturability
Perform failure analysis to identify root causes of system or component issues and document findings
Develop design specifications, test protocols, and validation reports
Participate in technical design reviews to ensure design integrity and safety requirements are achieved
Requirements
Level 8 degree in Engineering (BSc in Electronics) or equivalent experience
Minimum of 4 years' industry experience in a similar role
Strong knowledge of electronics including analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design
Experience in medical device product development is highly desirable
Familiarity with EMC testing and regulatory requirements
Experience with requirement documentation and structured engineering processes
