**Job Title:** Head of Tax
Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned tax professional to spearhead the tax function, directly reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing tax compliance, reporting, structuring and advisory across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the group's tax function, ensuring comprehensive compliance across all tax heads, including transfer pricing.
* Oversee tax reporting and accounting requirements, driving accuracy and efficiency.
* Provide expert advice on tax matters arising from leasing transactions and deal-related activity, leveraging in-depth knowledge and industry expertise.
* Lead negotiations and reviews of tax clauses in transaction documentation, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
* Manage corporate tax risk and optimize the group's global tax structure, minimizing exposure and maximizing returns.
* Act as primary liaison with auditors, tax authorities, and external advisors, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.
* Monitor legislative changes, advise on impacts, and drive implementation, staying ahead of regulatory developments.
* Provide tax guidance on complex issues such as corporate residency and permanent establishments, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk.
Requirements:
* Advanced degree in Taxation or related field, with qualifications from reputable institutions such as AITI, ACA or ACCA.
* Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in a senior tax role, with substantial exposure to aviation leasing and a proven track record of success.
* Strong technical expertise in corporate tax, with advanced technical and analytical skills and a deep understanding of US tax laws and regulations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and drive collaborative outcomes.
* Willingness to travel as required, with flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
