Building Services Project Engineer Job
Our company is seeking a highly skilled Building Services Project Engineer to join our team at a leading FMCG site based in Cork. This is a contract position that offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-performing capital project function.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver various building services projects from initiation to handover, including HVAC, lighting, chilled water, purified water, and electrical systems.
* Manage all EHS requirements throughout the full life cycle of each project.
* Develop User Requirements for systems by engaging with operations, EHS, maintenance, utilities, technical, and quality teams to ensure proposed solutions are suitable.
* Lead Constructability Reviews, Design Reviews, and Risk Assessments during the design phase.
* Identify project issues and develop mitigation plans.
* Provide input into IFT/IFC packages and assist with the procurement process.
* Supervise and manage contractors throughout the construction stage.
* Participate in engineering team initiatives as required.
* Ensure projects are delivered in line with company quality, engineering, and EHS standards.
Requirements:
* 8+ years' project engineering/management experience with a degree in Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
* Chartered Engineer qualification is an advantage but not essential.
* NEBOSH International Construction Safety (or equivalent) is an advantage but not essential.
* Experience delivering projects of a similar type and scale within a regulated / GMP environment.
* Strong understanding and application of engineering principles, industry practices, and standards.
* Ability to resolve moderately complex to semi-routine problems and identify deviations from accepted practice.
* Knowledge and application of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
