Founded in 2011, Dublin Barista School has helped thousands of students gain certification and launch successful careers in the coffee industry. We're proud to be one of Ireland's leading barista training providers - known for our high standards, great culture, and love for coffee education.
We're expanding our team and looking for an enthusiastic Barista Trainer to join us in a casual but consistent hourly role. While this isn't a permanent contract, you can expect reliable work most of the year (typically 35–40+ hours per week in peak seasons), with some lighter periods off-season. You'll be paid for every hour worked, and supported with our industry-leading Trainer Programme to help you grow.
What You'll Do
* Deliver engaging barista training sessions to students at various experience levels
* Support students in gaining skills, confidence, and certification
* Create a fun, professional, and inclusive learning environment
* Inspire learners through effective communication and hands-on guidance
* Travel to off-site training locations using company vans when required
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing training improvements
What We're Looking For
Experience:
* Minimum 1 year of hands-on barista experience
* Training or teaching experience is a plus (but not essential)
Skills & Attributes:
* Confident communicator with a natural ability to engage and motivate others
* Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment
* Enthusiastic, reliable, and customer-focused
* Comfortable presenting to groups of all ages
* A genuine passion for coffee and education
Must-Haves:
* Full, clean driving license
* Over 25 years old (for insurance purposes)
* Flexibility for early mornings, weekends, and travel as needed
Role Snapshot
* Type: Casual hourly-paid role
* Hours: Approx. 40+ per week in peak months, fewer in off-season
* Location: Dublin City (in-house training) and off-site venues across Ireland
* Schedule: Includes weekdays and weekends on rotation
* Pay: Competitive hourly rate (paid for every hour worked)
Physical Requirements:
* Able to stand for extended periods
* Comfortable lifting up to 25 lbs
* Manual dexterity for handling coffee equipment
