JLL seeks a skilled Carpenter to support our major pharmaceutical client's manufacturing facility in Ireland.
You'll maintain and improve facility infrastructure while ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards and GMP requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Perform carpentry installations, repairs, and maintenance in pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
Construct, install, and repair wooden structures, fixtures, doors, windows, and flooring
Conduct regular inspections of building exteriors and interiors to identify maintenance needs
Fabric maintenance as required
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities
Keep all storage rooms clean and organized
Regularly check functionality of kitchen equipment and coordinate necessary servicing or repairs
Identify and manage critical spare parts and maintenance supplies inventory
Liaise with third-party suppliers and contractors for various maintenance activities
Vendor management on site and escorting in line with client security requirement and policies
Read blueprints and specifications for carpentry projects
Build custom shelving, workbenches, and storage solutions
Conduct preventive maintenance and respond to urgent repairs
Ensure all work meets GMP standards and health & safety regulations
Collaborate with maintenance team and other trades
Maintain accurate work records
Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and procedures, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment.

Essential Requirements
Recognized carpentry apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
3-5 years carpentry experience (pharmaceutical/industrial preferred)
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery
Valid Safe Pass certification and manual handling training
Understanding of building codes and safety regulations
Ability to work various shifts and respond to emergency calls
Physical capability to lift heavy materials and work at heights
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in regulated environments (pharmaceutical, medical device, food)
GMP knowledge
