Sales and Business development manager required for a leading Electrical Supplier. The ideal candidate will have a technical background with an understanding of Motor Control Centres (MCCs), electrical control, and distribution boards. Their technical expertise will enable them to engage credibly with clients, offering practical insights and solutions.
This role requires a professional who is confident in both technical communication and business development, capable of tailoring presentations, proposals, and discussions to diverse audiences. The successful candidate will be supported by a highly skilled backroom team who will provide technical, commercial, and logistical assistance, ensuring they can focus on building relationships and driving sales across Ireland and the UK. Experience of dealing with Wastewater and water treatment sectors and Pharmaceutical manufacturing sector is advantageous but not essential. Candidates must be resident in Ireland.
Experience and Qualifications
* 5+ years’ experience in technical sales/business development.
* Strong technical background with experience working on MCCs and control systems.
* Ability to articulate and communicate technical and brand messaging in line with company marketing and growth strategies.
* Commercially astute, with a strong interest in sales, business development, and client engagement.
* Willingness to travel within the UK, Europe, and potentially the USA.
* Experience in wastewater and water treatment sectors is advantageous but not essential.
* Experience in data centre sectors is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and long‑term client relationships.
* Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
