Our client in County Louth, is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join their global finance team. This role is pivotal in ensuring financial control, governance, and the integrity of financial reporting across the organization. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior leadership to deliver high-quality insights and drive business decisions. Responsibilities
Oversee financial control processes across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and General Ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
Lead the month-end close process, delivering timely and accurate financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports.
Develop and maintain a robust financial controls framework, ensuring compliance and supporting internal and external audit requirements.
Provide insightful variance analysis and commentary for senior stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making and resource allocation.
Drive continuous improvement of financial systems, including SAP, to enhance efficiency, data quality, and reporting capabilities.
Requirements
Minimum of 8–10+ years’ post-qualification experience, including a significant period in a Financial Controller / Senior Finance Manager role within a complex, fast-paced environment
Expertise in leading month-end close processes and preparing comprehensive financial reports.
Strong knowledge of SAP and finance systems, with a focus on process optimization and automation.
Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to coach and develop teams while driving a culture of continuous improvement.
Demonstrated ability to partner with senior stakeholders, providing clear insights into financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
Hybrid working, 2-3 days on site per week
