Responsibilities:
* Performing routine and specialized microbiological tests on clinical specimens.
* Identifying and classifying microorganisms using various techniques.
* Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment.
* Ensuring compliance with laboratory safety and quality standards.
* Documenting and managing test results and data.
* Collaborating with medical professionals to interpret findings and support patient care.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
* CORU registration.
* Proven experience in a clinical microbiology laboratory.
* Proficiency in microbiological techniques and procedures.
* Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and quality control processes.
* Full driving license and access to own car is desirable.
* Resident in Ireland and legal right to work in Ireland without restriction.
* All candidates will be required to undergo Garda Vetting.
* International Police Clearance (if lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16).
