Piping Construction Supervisor
Our client is a well-established multinational EPCM consultancy working across the Semiconductor, Pharmaceutical, and Biotechnology sectors and is currently seeking an experienced Piping Construction Supervisor for a contract role in Limerick.
Summary of Responsibilities
The role is responsible for supervising and managing all Piping (Clean/Black) works, including contractors and specialist sub-contractors. The Piping Supervisor will be assigned to the project as part of the Construction Team, with responsibility for the proper and timely execution of the piping scope in line with the company’s Safety and Quality standards, detailed design, control estimates, contracts, SOPs, WIs, and applicable standards.The Piping supervisor is responsible for the timely turnover of all mechanical systems to the client.
Main Duties / Responsibilities
Supports the Mechanical Lead with Constructability Reviews and Interactive planning sessions with the Client and Design Team.
Ensures that the construction phase of the projects is adequately provided with suitably capable, qualified and experienced personnel, together with all the necessary plant, tools, temporary facilities and other resources.
Engages with the Design, Commissioning and Client teams throughout the project to ensure system turnovers are achieved to scheduled milestones
Comply with best-in-class site execution SOPs as guidance to the Field Supervisors
Ensures that the applicable statutory and other legal requirements are properly observed.
Understands the implications of the H&S at Work Act and Regulations as they affect the responsibilities of employees.
Ensures that the projects are constructed to the drawings, specifications, applicable standards, good construction practices, to schedule and in accordance with the cost budget.
Performs evaluations and reviews of the contractors’ work and documents the findings in accordance with the company’s procedures.
Reviews contractor progress reports and provides input to weekly CM report out to Client.
Attends daily whiteboard meetings and contractor progress meetings
Manage construction works from pre-construction to system turnover
Requirements
10+ years of experience in piping and mechanical construction supervision
Strong experience working on pharmaceutical, biotech, or GMP-regulated projects
Hands-on experience supervising piping installation and related site activities
Ability to ensure projects are delivered in line with budget, design specifications, and construction requirements
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with clients, engineers, and site teams
Eligibility to work in Ireland and availability for on-site work
