This role is central to the fast-paced world of live sports broadcasting, where you'll help shape the narrative through replays and highlights. Working closely with the EVS/Live Touch operator, you’ll ensure that key moments are captured and delivered with precision. The position is tied to live sports schedules, including but not limited to the UEFA Champions League, Six Nations, International football, and the League of Ireland. As such, shift times and working days will vary to align with live match coverage, requiring flexibility and a passion for real-time storytelling. Previous experience a must, this is not an entry level role. This is a specified contract which will run from September 2025 to May 2026. The successful candidate will work approx. 64 hours per month for a 9m period. Flexibility will be required in line with the demands of live Television.
Specific Duties & Tasks:
* Work closely with the EVS/Live Touch operator to ensure accurate and timely sports replays, highlights, and packages.
* Provide real-time sports expertise to guide content selection and storytelling.
* Maintain constant communication with in-studio talent, producers, directors and graphics to ensure seamless integration of footage into live broadcasts.
* Ensure the accuracy and relevance of replay content, making editorial decisions to enhance storytelling.
* Occasionally assist in other production roles as required.
Skills & Expertise:
* Strong understanding of live sports broadcasting workflows, particularly replay and analysis operations.
* Excellent communication skills to coordinate between operators, talent, and production teams.
* Ability to make quick, informed decisions in high-pressure environments.
* Deep sports knowledge with an ability to anticipate key moments during live coverage
