OverviewThe Outsourced Technical Services (OTS) Department of PM Group works hard to match talented engineers to exciting client opportunities. We now wish to recruit an experienced Construction Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities at a Client site in Limerick.The successful candidate will be responsible for projects to upgrade electrical systems, working on a 15:00 to 03:00 Shift for four days each week, usually Monday through Thursday. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of regulatory requirements within the pharma industry. The Electrical Supervisor will ensure that all electrical works are executed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with GMP, FDA, and local building regulations.ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate electrical teams (contractors, technicians, and apprentices) on-siteMonitor daily progress, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standardsReview electrical drawings, specifications, and ensure proper implementationEnsure all electrical installations meet pharma industry requirements, including GMP and cleanroom standardsVerify compliance with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policiesSupport validation and qualification activities for electrical systems (IQ/OQ/PQ)Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocolsConduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety auditsInvestigate and resolve safety incidents or near missesSupervise installation of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, HVAC controls, fire alarms, and process equipment connectionsCoordinate with mechanical, civil, and process teams to ensure seamless integrationTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues during construction and commissioningMaintain accurate records of electrical works, inspections, and test resultsPrepare daily/weekly progress reports for project managementSupport handover documentation for client and regulatory authoritiesQualificationsDegree educated or a strong trade backgroundMinimum 5-7 years of supervisory experience in electrical works, preferably in pharma or high-tech construction projectsStrong knowledge of GMP, FDA, and cleanroom requirementsFamiliarity with electrical regulations, standards, and pharmaceutical facility systemsExcellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage subcontractors and coordinate multidisciplinary teams
