Lead Electrical Estimator (HV Specialist)

As a Lead Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for leading and managing key estimation activities and systems for tenders. You will ensure the highest accuracy and quality standards, and that technical and commercial excellence is achieved. You will represent the company in client meetings at the highest level and liaise with the Estimation Manager, Lead bid Coordinator, Engineering department, and Operations team on any issues that may arise.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage commercial settlements for each bid you are managing.
* Tender adjudications.
* New tenders and control of all tender documentation.
* Quantifying drawings and tabulating same.
* Preparing and issuing tender documentation to suppliers and sub-contractors.
* Inputting estimator take-off into estimating package.
* Preparing spreadsheets indicating prices received for suppliers and associated costs.
* Controlling documentation including tender and post-tender correspondence.
* Update maintain register of all project estimated.
* Handover of commercial files.
* The estimation process flows.
* Work closely with Estimating Manager in standardising T&D division, developing library & closing out of all Tender Adjudications.
Necessary Requirements:
* 3rd-level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Construction Economics, Quantity Surveying or similar.
* Ideally 7+ years' experience in construction industry, with 7 years in a similar senior position.
* Experience working on tenders in-excess of €7million electrically within Power & Renewables sector.
* Innovates and leads in electrical/technical activity, particularly within MV & HV Electrical systems.
* Microsoft Suite experience, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to manage, develop, and retain a large team.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to multi-task and manage many priorities.
* Excellent communicator/strong interpersonal skills.
* Excellent record keeper and administration skills.
* Solves problems analytically and acts decisively.
Desired Competencies:
* Preferred experience within Ireland/UK.
* Preferred direct experience in HV Substation Estimation.
* Knowledge of required criteria/standards within Ireland/UK Standards relating to Substation construction.
