Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Accounts Assistant to join our organization on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
* Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents in a timely and accurate manner.
* Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
* Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial discrepancies and ensure proper documentation and authorization of transactions.
* Provide administrative support to the finance team.
* Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
* Reconcile and allocate direct debits and incoming payments through the bank.
* Post daily bank card transactions.
* Support the accounts payable/receivable functions.
Requirements:
* Accounts Technician Qualification (ATQ) or qualified by experience.
* Previous experience in accounting or finance role preferred.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
* Familiarity with accounting software systems.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
