Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Mechanical Engineer located in County Laois, Ireland.
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing machinery, utilising Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, managing projects, and leading research and development initiatives.
Day-to-day tasks include creating detailed machine designs, managing project timelines, and coordinating with other engineering teams to ensure high-quality production standards.
Qualifications
Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design skills
Generate BOM (Bill of Materials) for production
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
Experience with FEA analysis and preparation of comprehensive reports
Utilise SolidWorks for 3D modelling & design
Project Management experience
Experience in Research and Development (R&D)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required
Industry experience in farm, plant, quarry, transport, agri-products, or forestry is beneficial.
