About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering specialist Occupational Therapy services as part of an inter-professional team, under the Progressing Disability Services (PDS) model. The team supports children and young people aged 0–18 years with a range of physical, sensory, neurological, and developmental needs.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide clinical assessment, intervention, and review for children and young people presenting with complex needs.
* Collaborate effectively with children, families, carers, and other professionals to set and implement person-centred, goal-focused care plans.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of care pathways and best practice guidelines within the CDNT.
* Provide clinical supervision, support, and mentoring to junior staff and Occupational Therapy students.
* Participate in team meetings, clinical reviews, and relevant training and development initiatives.
* Maintain high standards of clinical record-keeping and reporting in line with HSE policies and professional standards.

Essential Criteria

* A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy.
* Current registration with CORU as an Occupational Therapist.
* A minimum of three years’ post-qualification clinical experience, including experience working with children and/or in disability services.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and clinical reasoning skills.
* A full clean driving licence and access to own transport may be required.

Desirable Experience

* Experience working under the PDS framework or with CDNTs.
* Experience in delivering occupational therapy services in community or school-based settings.
* Familiarity with standardised assessment tools and outcome measures relevant to paediatric occupational therapy.

What We Offer

* The opportunity to work as part of a dedicated, supportive and innovative interdisciplinary team.
* Access to regular clinical supervision and continued professional development opportunities.
* A varied and rewarding caseload with opportunities for leadership and service development.
* Competitive public sector salary and pension scheme.
* A strong emphasis on work-life balance and wellbeing, with the opportunity to live and work in one of Ireland’s most scenic counties.
