The Opportunity
An established and growing accountancy practice is seeking a Part-Qualified Accountant to join its team. This role offers excellent exposure across all areas of accounting, taxation, and client management within a supportive, close‑knit environment. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across multiple service lines, work directly with Partners and clients, and benefit from comprehensive study support and career development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of draft audit‑exempt accounts to Partner review stage.
* Preparation and submission of Annual Returns and Abridged Accounts to the CRO.
* Preparation and filing of Income Tax, Corporation Tax, PAYE, VAT, and RCT returns.
* Payroll processing and company secretarial filings.
* Managing your own portfolio of clients while maintaining strong relationships and ensuring timely delivery of services.
The Ideal Candidate
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a small or medium‑sized accountancy practice.
* Strong technical knowledge across income tax, corporation tax, PAYE, RCT, and VAT.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with accounting systems such as Relate, Surf, Sage, or Xero.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Proactive, flexible, and capable of working independently or within a team.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines.
