Version 1 is seeking an experienced consultant to join its Managed Services team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering solutions for mid to enterprise-level organizations. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can prioritize workload effectively, and is eager to expand their industry experience. A solid background in Microsoft and/or Oracle technologies with a Continuous Service Improvement mindset is essential.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their skills further with a leading Microsoft Gold Partner and Oracle Platinum Partner, working with cutting-edge technologies.
The candidate will work within a team of experienced Oracle and SQL Server Database Administrators, honing a broad range of skills that define a well-rounded consultant:
1. The technical ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
2. Being a collaborative team member and working effectively to meet deadlines.
3. Developing an understanding of the client’s business, applications, and users.
4. Communicating technical issues effectively to business users.
5. Identifying, recommending, and implementing continuous service improvements.
Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience, including at least 3 years in an Oracle DBA support role.
* An IT or Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of supporting secure, high-availability IT environments.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a team.
* Working experience in:
o Oracle Database Administration
o SQL Server Database Administration
o Red Hat Linux or Oracle Linux Administration
o Oracle Exadata Administration (a plus)
o Oracle RAC Administration
o Oracle ASM Administration
o Database Backup and Recovery procedures (RMAN)
o Oracle Data Guard configuration and administration
