Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to lead our Facilities and Maintenance Engineering function.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategies to reduce costs, improve quality, and increase operational uptime.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the Engineering function, defining and implementing strategies to reduce costs, mitigate risk, and improve quality.
2. Develop and maintain a team of Maintenance and Facilities professionals, guiding them in their roles and responsibilities.
3. Ensure that maintenance activities are carried out safely, according to company procedures and using relevant permitting systems.
4. Provide plant maintenance services to support operations and manufacturing, delivering high-quality results within company targets.
5. Inspect and evaluate physical plant and related equipment, managing asset life cycle in support of operations.
6. Coordinate with outside contractors to perform service activities, repairs, and preventive maintenance on plant and equipment.
7. Oversee provision of all related maintenance supplies and plant spare parts.
8. Drive an environment of continuous improvement, leading initiatives and projects in the areas of Maintenance and Facilities processes.
9. Manage team performance, conduct performance reviews, and support recruitment, training, and development plans.
10. Maintain positive employee relations, fostering good communication and co-operation among team members.
11. Monitor workload and manage resources to support company targets, ensuring high KPI performance levels.
12. Serve as a member of the site leadership team, participating in decision-making processes.
Requirements:
* A Master's degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
* 5+ years of experience in a manager or senior manager role, preferably in maintenance/ engineering within the manufacturing industry.
* 10+ years of experience in maintenance/engineering, with a strong background in LEAN and 6 sigma manufacturing principles.
* cGMP experience is desirable.
* A self-motivated, results-oriented personality with excellent problem-solving skills.
* Good knowledge of LEAN and 6 sigma manufacturing principles, including experience in continuous improvement of processes and validations of processes/equipment.
Travel Requirements:
Up to 26 business days per year
