Occupli are delighted to exclusively partner with an Award Winning Facilties Management Services and Manufacturing Multinational.Health and Safety LeadType of role: Contract 3 to 6 monthsLocation: County KildareIndustry: Facilities, ManufacturingReporting to the Strategic Account Director with a focus on a large strategic clientDesirable Skills & Certifications:Safe PassPSDP / PSCS knowledgeManual Handling TrainerOffice Ergonomics / VDU Assessor"Train the Trainer" qualificationInternal Auditor certificationChartered Membership of IOSH (or actively working towards) – minimum level 6Key Responsibilities:To manage the risk assessment program and identify how risks can be reduced;To develop safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards;To provide leadership to the management of Health & Safety on siteCarry out regular site inspections to check that policies and procedures are being properly implemented;Internal audits tracking and directing follow-up activities to correct any non-conformity.Lead in the preparation of health and safety strategies and developing internal policy;To advise on fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise and compliance.To develop and manage the site Safety Management system and to ensure that it is maintained in a constant state of audit readiness,Lead in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks;To keep records of inspection findings and producing reports that suggest improvements;To record and support the investigation of incidents and accidents and producing statistics for managers;Support contractor management activities;To oversee the Permit to Work system and to issue permits.To attend Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and other seminars;To produce management reports, safety briefings and KPIsOther Skills:Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.Ability to influence, lead teams and promote a team environment.Demonstrate effective leadership skills.Ability to understand big picture and willingness to contribute.5+ years experience in a similar role
