Job Title: Accounts Assistant (Part-time)

Location: Allenwood, Co. Kildare (Onsite )

Hours: 20 hours per week

Status: Permanent subject to 6 months’ probation

Hourly pay: €17 to €19 per hour (depending on experience)

The Role:

Our client, Enda Lewis & Company, a proactive and client-focused accountancy practice, is seeking a detail-oriented, and customer-focused part-time Accounts Assistant to join their team. This is an onsite role based in Allenwood, Kildare, offering 20 hours per week, with some flexibility on scheduling. The role is ideal for someone who is organised, eager to learn, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. Our client proudly serves small to medium-sized family businesses across Kildare, Dublin, Offaly, Meath, Westmeath, Laois and Wicklow. For over 30 years, they have supported their clients with expert business and tax planning, accounting, financial reviews, and coaching services. They work with a diverse range of sectors including construction trades, consultancy, haulage, agriculture, retail and small charities. They are committed to providing each one with a highly personal and tailored service.

Key Responsibilities:

·Assist with bookkeeping and accounts preparation for small businesses.

·Input financial data and maintain accurate records.

·Support the preparation of tax computations and returns.

·Perform general administrative duties as required.

·Work with various software systems to streamline and manage accounting tasks.

·Communicate effectively with clients and team members.

·Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and service excellence.

·Minimum of 2 years’ professional experience.

·Sound knowledge of accounting principles and laws in Ireland.

·Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

·Proficient in written and verbal English.

·Comfortable with IT systems and open to learning new software.

·Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

·Demonstrated experience with bookkeeping and accounts preparation.

·Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

·Self-motivated and capable of managing workload independently.

·Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

·Customer-oriented approach to client service.

·Eligible to work in Ireland for any employer for the hours outlined above.

·Familiarity with any of the following systems is an advantage (training can be provided); Bright Accounts Production, QuickBooks Online, Xero, AutoEntry, Revenue Online Service (ROS).
