Our client, a leading company in the renewable energy sector, is looking for a motivated Plant Operator to join their team at their facility in Roscommon.

The Role As a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the facility.
Your duties will include monitoring and maintaining plant equipment, managing feedstock and material intake, supporting routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
The role involves shift work and an on-call rota, with both indoor and outdoor tasks.
Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor plant machinery including engines, pumps, digesters, and feeding systems Carry out daily checks and identify operational issues Adjust plant controls to maintain stable and efficient processes Manage feedstock handling and processing in compliance with regulations Assist with routine maintenance and minor repairs Operate site machinery and equipment (training provided) Maintain accurate operational records and support compliance reporting Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures to ensure a safe workplace Participate in a rota-based on-call system What We Are Looking For Experience in an operational, industrial, manufacturing, or maintenance role Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge preferred Strong understanding of health and safety practices Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good attention to detail and a proactive approach Experience or interest in renewables or waste management is a plus What You Will Get Comprehensive training and ongoing support Competitive salary with overtime opportunities A long-term career in a growing renewable energy company A practical, hands-on role with variety and outdoor work Opportunities for career development and upskilling Additional Information This role involves outdoor work and requires a reasonable level of fitness.
