3-Axis CNC Machinist - County Clare.
Our client seeks a skilled 3-Axis CNC Machinist to join the team. If you have experience in CNC milling and turning, enjoy working with cutting-edge technology, and take pride in producing high-quality components, this is the job for you.
You will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating 3-axis CNC machines to manufacture precision parts for Aerospace, Medical, Automotive and Telecommunications industries.
Job Description:
• Set up and operate 3-axis CNC machining centres and various models of CNC milling machines with precision and attention to detail.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and CAD drawings
• Adjust and optimize CNC programs (G-code, M-code)
• Select and set up tooling and work holding solutions
• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and precision
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to optimize processes
• Ensure compliance with ISO and other Quality Standards
• Work to tight tolerances and ensure the quality of output by inspecting your own work.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of experience in 3-axis CNC machining
• Strong knowledge of G-code, M-code, and CNC programming
• Experience with Mazak, DMG Mori, Chiron machines desirable but not essential
• Familiarity with Hypermill Software desirable but not essential
• Familiarity with Heidenheim controllers desirable but not essential
• Ability to inspect parts using calipers, micrometres, and CMM's
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Training will be provided in areas where skills and knowledges gaps are identified.
