Construction Site Supervisor
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Construction Site Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our residential development project in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.
This significant project involves the construction of houses, duplexes, and apartments, along with associated roads and services. As our ideal candidate will provide technical support, carry out setting out, levelling, and quality checks while working closely with the site management team to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out accurate setting out for foundations, rising walls, drainage, kerbs, columns, beams, and walls;
* Set levels, supervise groundworks, and oversee works by block layers, steel-fixers, shuttering carpenters, and concrete pours;
* Take levels, survey ongoing works, and maintain detailed records of subcontractor activities;
* Assist in materials management, liaising with the site manager and purchasing to ensure timely delivery of correct specifications and minimising wastage;
* Liaise with Irish Water Field Engineers, manage the Irish Water QA folder, and produce as-built drawings;
* Assist in supervising and monitoring site operatives (direct and subcontractors);
* Support the management and coordination of quality control and building control plans;
* Contribute to health & safety through operative inductions, H&S audits, and ensuring compliance with PPE and safety obligations;
Requirements:
**Degree or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction, or related field;
**Proven experience as a site supervisor on residential projects (preferably in Ireland);
**Strong setting out and surveying skills with experience in groundworks, drainage, and structural elements;
**Excellent technical knowledge of construction processes for houses, duplexes, and apartments;
**Good organisational and record-keeping abilities;
**Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaison with site team, subcontractors, and external stakeholders (e.g., Irish Water);
**Commitment to health & safety, quality control, and materials efficiency;
**Ability to work effectively as part of a site management team;
