Our Dublin based client are looking for a Lead Software Engineerto join their team on a permanent basis This role sits within the Product Development team and is at the Lead level with a base salary and overall package to reflect the level of Seniority Global based company with a growing office in Dublin who operate in an exciting and modern sector that focuses on health and technology For this role they are looking for an individual who has experience in the areas of Cloud / AI as it's a major part of the role and journey this company are on Responsibilities: Leadership in a hands-on and highly technical role Manage and mentor a team of 58 Ownership on the end-to-end delivery and outcomes for your team and projects Building on high-quality, scalable AI & cloud solutions that will meet delivery commitments and business goals Act as a product owner and work closely with technical architects, Engineers, Analysts, and product managers to translate requirements into solutions. Drive and maintain engineering best practices across design, AI, security, and reliability. Contribute to the wider planning, execution and ensure a clear level of transparency and predictability. Proactively communicate on levels of risk, dependencies to help unblock delivery when challenges arise. Participate in an on-call support rotation to ensure platform reliability and operational excellence. Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support team and business objectives. Requirements: 7+ years of software development or architecture experience, with at least 3-4 years in senior or management level roles Have significant experience architecting and building enterprise-wide cloud-native solutions. Expertise with Amazon Web Services (AWS), particularly: AWS Lambda API Gateway DynamoDB Programming skills in Python Hands on experience with Gen AI systems would be an advantage Excellent understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and SDLC methodologies. Desirable: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and cloud ecosystems.
