Mechanical Construction Management Opportunities
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to lead our site operations and manage the delivery of mechanical process piping packages. The successful candidate will work closely with our safety and project teams to ensure a safe working environment.
1. Lead and support site safety in collaboration with the safety and project teams, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
2. Manage site quality assurance, including input from the QA Manager, to maintain high standards of quality throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Assist in maintaining and tracking the project schedule, ensuring timely completion of milestones and deliverables.
4. Oversight and control of project costs, including labour, materials, plant and variations, to ensure effective resource allocation and budget management.
5. Supervise day-to-day site operations, ensuring progress aligns with project goals and objectives.
6. Manage the on-site team and coordinate across all disciplines to achieve seamless integration and efficient project delivery.
7. Monitor subcontractor performance, progress and manpower levels to ensure optimal utilization and minimize delays.
8. Conduct weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors and package leads to facilitate open communication and address any challenges or concerns.
9. Manage snagging and punch lists in support of QA/QC, ensuring defects are addressed promptly and efficiently.
10. Report labour hours for direct staff and subcontractors to facilitate accurate timekeeping and payroll processing.
11. Lead site meetings and reviews throughout the project lifecycle to ensure effective communication and decision-making.
12. Support project close-out, including documentation, handover and resource relocation, to ensure smooth transition and minimal disruption.
13. Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Mechanical Construction Manager role or similar.
* Trade background or relevant third-level qualification in engineering or construction.
* Proven ability to manage teams, subcontractors and construction programmes effectively.
* This Mechanical Construction Manager will need a strong knowledge of the complete design and construction lifecycle.
* Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale construction projects.
* Full, clean drivers license.
