The Opportunity
The purpose of the role is to ensure that Retail business is managed effectively at portfolio level to support growth whilst protecting profitability. The successful applicant will use and improve available management information to analyse the performance of the Retail lines and to propose, plan and implement changes that have a positive effect on portfolio performance.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor portfolio performance and in collaboration with Underwriting Pricing, Technical Product, Customer and Market Management, develop and implement solutions that will improve company results
Make recommendations to management on changes required to improve portfolio
Make best use of available and emerging datasets to develop innovative underwriting and pricing approaches
Identify emerging issues within the portfolio and across the wider market
Collaborate with the relevant underwriting managers, sharing knowledge and developing innovative solutions to complex problems
Support organisational wide strategic projects with technical knowledge
Identify creative solutions to problems and improving quality and efficiency within the team
Additional business projects and ad hoc work as required
Collaborate on the composition and presentation of monthly reports across all aspects of portfolio performance
Key Requirements / Skills & Experience
CIP, ACII or FCII qualified or equivalent
A minimum of 2 years General Insurance experience
A relevant third level or professional qualification
Experience of Retail Insurance
Experience in communication to, and leadership of, people or teams
Experience of having been part of a project team in implementing business initiatives
Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel OR with SQL, VBA or Python
Understanding of core principles and practical applications of Data Analytics or Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies is beneficial

This role is officially based in Elm Park, Dublin 4, but we embrace a hybrid working model that offers you the flexibility and support you need to excel in your role. This is a hybrid remote/in‑office role.
