Senior Mechanical Engineer
We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Senior Mechanical Engineer eager to tackle new challenges and drive innovation. In this role, you will:
Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive mechanical system designs that enhance product performance and reliability, including overseeing all verification and validation processes.
Provide guidance and mentorship to engineering team members.
Support product and process development from initial design through to full-scale implementation, leveraging expertise in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems for configuration control.
Integrate electromechanical sub-assemblies into complex systems comprising fluidics, optics, sensors, electronics, and software.
Apply a structured, analytical approach to problem-solving, delivering effective solutions.
Qualifications
Proficiency with simulation tools (e.g., CFD, FEA) to model and optimize designs, accelerating maturity and ensuring robust, reliable solutions.
Knowledge of GD&T and related standards.
Hands-on experience with manufacturing and fabrication processes (e.g., molding, machining, casting, coating).
Understanding of material properties and their application in design.
Technical support experience across the engineering value chain to maintain performance within a high-performing manufacturing network.
Familiarity with control systems engineering (e.g., motor tuning, PID control).
Experience with safety standards, including the Machinery Directive and CE Marking.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree (QQI Level 8) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related technical field, coupled with 8+ years of relevant experience.
Strong expertise in CAD modeling, GD&T principles, and tolerance stack-ups.
Proven skills in mechanical, electromechanical, and systems design for both products and manufacturing fixtures.
