We are seeking a talented and motivated Daylight, Sunlight & Environmental Analysis Consultant to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with strong technical expertise and a passion for delivering accurate, high-quality assessments on a diverse range of architectural and development projects.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake daylight and sunlight assessments in accordance with current BRE guidance and relevant industry standards.
Manage projects from initial assessment through to completion, including analysis, reporting, and client deliverables.
Produce and interpret 3D models using AutoCAD and other relevant software to support technical assessments.
Prepare clear, accurate, and professionally presented reports for planning and design teams.
Collaborate with colleagues, architects, consultants, and clients to ensure project objectives and deadlines are achieved.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of workflows, methodologies, and technical standards within the team.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Proven experience in undertaking daylight and sunlight analysis for architectural or planning projects.
Strong knowledge of BRE guidance and daylight/sunlight assessment methodologies.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modelling software.
Experience preparing comprehensive daylight and sunlight assessment reports.
The ability to independently manage projects and deliver work to a high standard within agreed timescales.
Strong analytical, organisational, and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Highly Desirable
Knowledge of planning processes and environmental assessment requirements.
Experience working within the architectural, planning, or development sectors.
