Dairygold Agri-Business and Member Trading are seeking to hire a Management Accountant.
About the Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller - Agribusiness and Member Trading (A&MT) and based in Lombardstown, Mallow, Co, Cork, the Management Accountant will work as part of the cohesive, driven and dynamic Finance Team with responsibility for reporting and control of Stocks, Sales, Margin, Costs and providing financial support and reporting to both internal customers and business leaders
Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:
Providing reliable and accurate information to the business on a weekly and monthly basis to facilitate effective decision making by senior management.
Reporting on, interpreting and control of stock valuations, aged stock, stock levels, cycle counting and stock movements, attendance at stock-takes, reviewing stocktaking instructions and policies.
Interpretation of key stock data to provide actionable and value add insights.
Cross departmental collaboration to add value by understanding key business issues and putting forward solutions and recommendations to increase margin, reduce costs and create more efficient and effective systems.
Monitoring supplier contracts and amalgamated buying arrangements.
Reviewing and analyzing product performance and profitability to maximize sales and margin.
Participation in the preparation and submission of monthly management accounts and participation in the forecasting and budgeting processes.
Review of policies & procedures and assisting in implementation of key financial and operational controls to ensure key risks are controlled.
Liaising with internal and external auditors and ensuring implementation of requests and recommendations.
The successful candidate will have:
ACA, ACCA, CIMA or other relevant accounting qualification
3+ years experience in a similar role.
Strong IT skills especially Excel (aptitude for running/manipulating reports, large volumes of data, pivot tables, v-look ups, etc.)
An ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts and to prepare and present concise oral and written reports
Resilience and be capable of dealing with pressurised situations and deadlines
An ability to establish and retain effective working relationships with other staff and to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
Excellent communication and influencing skills.
