About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a qualified or part-qualified accountant to join the firm’s accounts team. This is a generalist role ideal for someone looking to broaden their experience across accounts preparation, tax compliance, and audit. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience with a varied client base and enjoy strong support for their continued professional development.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
* Completion of tax compliance work including VAT, Corporation Tax, and Income Tax returns.
* Involvement in statutory audits and audit support work.
* Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts.
* Liaising with clients on day-to-day queries and providing proactive advice.
* Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and tax regulations.
* Supporting junior staff and assisting with their training where needed.
* Ad hoc tasks and assignments as required by the partners or senior team members.
Key Requirements
* ACCA/ACA/CPA qualified or part-qualified.
* 2+ years’ experience in an Irish accountancy practice.
* Strong grounding in accounts preparation, tax compliance, and some exposure to audit.
* Solid understanding of Irish tax legislation and accounting principles.
* Strong attention to detail, with good problem-solving and organisational skills.
* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills and a client-focused mindset.
