We're at an exciting stage of growth and are looking for a
hands-on, commercially driven Sales Director
to lead
new business generation
, build strategic client relationships, and develop the foundation of Avencia's consulting network.

The Role

This is a
high-impact, individual contributor role
focused on generating
net new consulting business
for Avencia. You'll be responsible for:

* Identifying, qualifying, and closing new client opportunities
* Converting leads into signed consulting engagements
* Building a sustainable pool of associates to support delivery

You'll work closely with
Oliver James recruiters and account managers
to uncover opportunities and act as the primary driver of conversion. Expect a fast-paced, agile environment where
flexibility, creativity, and commercial acumen
are key.

What You'll Do

* Drive new business
across target sectors (Financial Services, Public Sector, Aviation, Retail, FMCG and more).
* Own the full sales cycle
: lead generation, qualification, proposal development, and closing
* Collaborate with Oliver James teams
to convert recruiter-generated leads
* Generation of your own leads and proposal opportunities
through new business development activity and marketing
* Develop associate networks
to support delivery and expand capability
* Provide market intelligence
to shape Avencia's propositions and strategy
* Act as a brand ambassador
, hosting events and representing Avencia at industry forums

What We're Looking For

* Proven success in
consultative B2B sales
within technology, change, or professional services
* Strong understanding of
technology and change consulting propositions
* Skilled in
proposal development, SOWs, and senior-level pitches
* Excellent
communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
* Entrepreneurial mindset with
drive, resilience, and agility
* Ability to work
autonomously in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
