Your new companyA PE-backed SaaS company in Dublin are looking for an Interim Financial Controller to join at a pivotal point of rapid growth to support the CFO and finance team through a variety of projects and BAU finance operations. This company is on a huge growth trajectory, with lots of M&A activity and this opportunity has big potential to extend to a long-term opportunity, however initially they are looking for an Interim Financial Controller for a 3 month contract to start with.This company offers hybrid working 3 days in Dublin and 2 days from home.Your new roleJoining a finance team of 5 overall, you will report to and very closely support the CFO and have 3 direct reports. The focus of this role will be to support the finance team with tidy up and process re-engineering, year-end reporting, budgeting, audit readiness, M&A activity including integrations and other upcoming strategic projects. This Interim Financial Controller will have private equity experience and will be happy to be hands-on. Your duties will include but are not limited to:Reporting requirements include month/quarter/year-end close; management accounts production, preparation of detailed board packs and ad-hoc PE investor reportingLead year-end stat accounts and annual audit, ensuring compliance across IFRS, UK GAAP and in particular IFRS 15 revenue recognitionOngoing improvement of internal controls including strong balance sheet controls (factoring in deferred revenue, accrued income, commissions capitalisation, and contract assets/liabilities)Closely support the CFO on annual budget, forecasting and long-term financial planning in line with PE requirementsCashflow forecasting and management of working capital requirementsAd-hoc reporting to include covenant reporting; detailed insights on revenue, margins and performance; KPI reporting (ARR / MRR, Net Revenue Retention (NRR), Gross and Contribution Margin, CAC, LTV, and CAC Payback, Churn and cohort analysis)Support strategic decision-making on pricing models and go-to-market proposalsM&A support to include due diligence, deal modelling and valuation support and integrations of acquired companiesGeneral process improvement across the finance team, systems and reporting tools and reporting processes to ensure a scalable function in line with growth trajectoryStrategic initiatives to ensure exit requirementsWhat you'll need to succeedFor this Interim Financial Controller Job, the must-have requirements include:Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CPA)Previous experience in a PE-backed organisationIdeally, experience in a SaaS or subscription-based business model (Buy-and-build or multi-entity SaaS experience a plus)IFRS15 revenue recognition experiencePrevious M&A Integration experienceSystems implementation or finance transformation experienceHands-on nature, problem solver, someone who can hit the ground running.What you'll get in returnYou will be rewarded with a salary of €80,000 - €100,000 DOE (potential up to €110,000 for the right experience), hybrid working 3 days in office and 2 days at home for an initial 3-month interim contract, but the likelihood is this role could very well extend long-term.What you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.Hays Ireland is a trading division of Hays Specialist Recruitment (Ireland) Limited and acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
