Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Officer to join our team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for delivering health and safety advice and support to site-based personnel and others.
You will provide support and guidance to colleagues, subcontractor personnel, and other third parties, ensuring that they adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.
Your duties will include reporting accidents, incidents, and near misses in a timely and accurate manner, assisting with investigations, and conducting site safety inspections and risk assessments.
You will also be responsible for conducting regular reviews of corrective actions arising from incidents, inspections, and audits, and ensuring that health and safety policies and procedures are fully implemented and complied with.
In addition, you will assist with the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives, communicate HSE lessons learnt and other initiatives, and provide a proactive approach to problem-solving and day-to-day health, safety, and environmental management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Relevant H&S qualifications and certifications
* 2-3 years' experience working with construction/civils contractors
* Good understanding of health and safety legislation and ability to evaluate current and emerging trends in health and safety management
* Self-motivated, able to quickly resolve issues, and integrate well into a project team
