What You'll Build
As an IT Security Officer in the ECS Partner Management – Partner Center of Expertise (PCoE) team, you will orchestrate partner-delivered engagements to align with SAP ECS security standards.
You serve as the interface between SAP's Customer Engagement team, Technical Project Managers, and partner stakeholders, ensuring secure cloud operations and incident management.
Manage IT security and compliance topics of partner-delivered engagements, ensuring partners understand SAP ECS security expectations and shared responsibility models.
Handle real-world security incidents and compliance issues, performing incident response (IR), root cause analysis (RCA), post-incident corrective actions, and crisis communication with partners and SAP stakeholders.
Conduct detailed vulnerability scans, penetration tests, hacker simulations, and audit reviews, prioritizing and executing follow-up actions based on risk assessments.
Support partner security tool integration (e.g., FRUN monitoring, vulnerability and patch management tools, SIEM integration), as well as IAM, least privilege, privileged access controls, encryption, key management, and data protection mechanisms in cloud environments.
Build and maintain relationships with partners and SAP customer-facing teams, providing security guidance, onboarding, enablement, and ongoing partner security maturity improvements.
Innovate secure cloud architectures, defense-in-depth strategies, and data protection solutions tailored to customer scenarios.
Document ECS Partner delivery security processes and governance, continuously updating based on incidents, audits, and regulatory changes.
Coordinate regional security and compliance requirements with relevant SAP units (e.g., Customer, Partner, Global Partner Delivery Director, ECS Partner Operations Management).
Act as the single point of contact for IT security, compliance, and service delivery topics, serving as crisis coordinator and escalation owner.
Deliver onsite presence to partner/customer sites to ensure effective project delivery.
Facilitate customers and partners regarding region-based security laws, regulatory requirements, and data residency obligations.
What You Bring
Good understanding of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and SAP Cloud Security Baselines.
In-depth knowledge of SAP HANA, SAP Cloud technology, cloud security architecture, defense-in-depth, and shared responsibility models.
Experience with SIEM systems, incident monitoring, and alert handling.
Basic SAP BASIS skills (migration, upgrade, SWL tools) and cloud network security design.
Experience securing and accrediting cloud / hyperscaler hosted systems, including encryption, key management, and data protection controls.
8-9 years of industry experience, with 2-3 customer-facing roles in incident management, crisis communication, and de-escalations.
Proactive networking attributes, results focus, strong stakeholder and partner management skills.
Fluency in English (additional languages a plus).
Scripting skills and configuration knowledge for security tools (SIEM, IDS, scanning).
Technical security certifications (ISO *****, CISSP, CAP, CISA, or similar) are a plus.
