Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Financial Administrator to provide support to our senior accountants with bookkeeping, VAT returns, and accounts preparation.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess excellent communication skills, and have the ability to work accurately under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide administrative assistance to senior accountants with day-to-day tasks including bookkeeping, VAT returns, and accounts preparation
* Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software
* Process invoices, bank reconciliations, and journal entries in a timely and efficient manner
* Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and year-end financial statements
* Communicate effectively with clients regarding queries and required documentation
* Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and internal procedures at all times
* Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable
* Prepare and submit payroll information as required
* Liaise with colleagues and external stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner
Qualifications and Experience
Prior experience in a practice environment is essential for this role. The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified or working towards a relevant accounting qualification.
Additionally, the successful candidate will have:
* Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
* Able to use Microsoft productivity software such as Excel and Word
* Familiarity with accounting software and systems
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
