Mechanical Utilities Engineer Job Dept: Site Engineering Services Reports to: Engineering Manager Responsibilities: Manage the execution of engineering and facilities-related projects within the group. Lead and implement equipment and process improvement initiatives across manufacturing and utilities. Ensure the effective execution of day-to-day preventive and demand maintenance activities. Establish performance goals, schedules, and timetables in collaboration with the Site Engineering Services Manager. Support and assist in managing project plans across manufacturing, utility, and facility areas. Coordinate maintenance activities to align with required schedules and compliance standards. Prepare capital expenditure (CapEx) requests related to facility, plant, and equipment needs. Develop and maintain monthly engineering performance metrics, including ownership of the Site Maintenance Excellence Program to drive operational efficiencies and cost savings. Ensure audit readiness and compliance with regulatory, corporate, and divisional engineering standards. Deliver timely management reports and maintain performance against relevant budgets. Promote cross-training within the department to sustain preventive maintenance objectives. Uphold and enforce safety standards and safe work practices. Implement continuous improvement through equipment and process upgrades. Support manufacturing equipment maintenance to meet legal and corporate standards. Liaise with Global Engineering and relevant stakeholders as needed. Oversee internal and external project execution for plant-related initiatives. Ensure full implementation of all relevant Quality, Engineering, and Safety policies. Supervise external contractors, including the development of performance metrics for third-party service providers. Drive quality and performance in vendor relationships through negotiation and management. Prepare and implement timely Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) plans. Requirements: Essential Requirements: Bachelors Degree: Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Biomedical, Electronics) or Relevant Discipline Desired Requirements: Experience in Chilled Water, boilers, Potable Water distribution, Compressed Air Generation, LPHW, Building Management Systems, Environmental Management Systems, Electricity, Building Safety Systems and Building regulations is desirable. Technical/Business Knowledge -Job Skills/Experience Required: 5+Years experience in Facility and Utility Engineering, preferably in a cGMP environment. It may be necessary to re-design elements of manufacturing / utility / facility machinery to adapt to process conditions in order to improve efficiency with a demonstrated track record in managing budgets. Experience in a Electricity, LPHW, Chilled Water and Potable Waer distribution, Compressed Air Generation, Building Management Systems, Environmental Management Systems, Building Safety Systems and Building regulations is desirable.
