Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production environment.
Your primary responsibility will be to plan, manage, and oversee all aspects of our production environment, including defining strategies for application performance monitoring and optimization. You will also be responsible for responding to incidents and improving the platform based on feedback from customers and internal stakeholders.
In addition, you will support the deployment of code into multiple lower environments, design, develop, and standardize a monitoring and alerting mechanism for supported applications, and take a holistic approach to problem-solving by connecting the dots during a production event through the various technology stack that makes up the platform.
You will engage with and improve the whole lifecycle of services from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement, analyze ITSM activities of the platform, and provide feedback loop to Development teams on operational gaps or resiliency concerns.

Required Skills and Qualifications
* LINUX: Experience with Linux operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
* Mainframe: Knowledge of Mainframe systems, including AS/400, zSeries, and z/OS.
* Shell Scripting: Strong proficiency in shell scripting languages, such as Bash and PowerShell.
* ITIL / ITSM: Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) and ITSM (IT Service Management) principles and practices.
* Application Troubleshooting: Excellent skills in troubleshooting complex application issues.
* SQL: Knowledge of SQL database management systems.
* Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring tools, such as Splunk and Dynatrace.
* Jenkins - CI/CD: Understanding of Jenkins and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
* Groovy Scripting / YAML: Basic knowledge of Groovy scripting and YAML data serialization.
* Git / Bitbucket: Familiarity with Git version control system and Bitbucket.
Desirable Skills
* Ansible / Chef: Experience with Ansible or Chef automation tools.
* Event Framework Architecture: Understanding of event-driven architecture and frameworks.
