Job Description:
We are seeking dedicated professionals to join our multidisciplinary team as Occupational Therapists/Senior Occupational Therapists. This role involves working closely with patients, families, and the healthcare team to promote recovery, independence, and safe discharge planning.
About the Role:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with the team to ensure timely and safe discharge. You will work with patients to identify their abilities and limitations in activities of daily living (ADLs) and implement evidence-based interventions to support recovery and optimize independence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough assessments of patients' functional and cognitive abilities to inform treatment plans.
* Develop and implement tailored interventions to support patients' recovery and independence.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and safe discharge planning.
* Educate patients and their families on strategies for managing functional limitations and advocate for patient-centered care throughout the admission.
Requirements:
* Staff Grade OT: BSc/MSc in Occupational Therapy (CORU registered), minimum 1 year of acute hospital experience, strong clinical reasoning and communication skills, ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Senior OT: BSc/MSc in Occupational Therapy (CORU registered), minimum 3 years post-qualification experience (acute experience strongly preferred), demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and advanced clinical skills, proven ability to manage a complex caseload independently.
Benefits & Remuneration:
A competitive remuneration package up to €72,800 DOE for Staff Grade OT and up to €85,540 DOE for Senior OT, flexible start dates, supportive working environment in a progressive acute care setting.
As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will assist Occupational Therapists in implementing treatment plans, supporting patients in regaining independence, and ensuring smooth discharge planning. You will play a vital role in helping patients maintain and improve their functional abilities during their hospital stay.
Key Responsibilities (assistant):
* Assist in delivering therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
* Support patients with training in activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care and functional mobility practice.
* Maintain therapy equipment and ensure a safe and organized clinical environment.
* Document patient progress accurately and communicate effectively with the OT team and wider MDT.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is desirable.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced hospital environment.
