Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing suppliers and service providers to ensure they meet contracted obligations in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
* Supervise and coordinate the activities of external contractors to guarantee compliance with contractual terms.
* Participate in the development and control of operational budgets related to facility maintenance.
* Be part of an on-call roster to handle emergency situations after working hours.
* Act as the primary point of contact for all facilities-related issues, including technical repairs and crisis management.
* Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, vendors, and other relevant parties.
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, be highly organized, and have the ability to work effectively under pressure.
* Lead the coordination of minor technical repairs and address any building-related concerns in a timely manner.
* Review and monitor preventive maintenance schedules, operations and maintenance records, warranties, task systems, asset registers, and life cycle documentation.
* Ensure health and safety protocols are followed during events, including supervising contractors and reviewing relevant documentation.
Requirements
* Desirable qualifications include Facilities Management, Property Management, Construction Management, or similar fields.
* Previous experience in facilities, maintenance, property, or construction management is advantageous but not required.
