Purpose of the Job
This will be a multi-faceted role covering all the operational aspects of Depositary services alongside the requirement to help develop new business opportunities and broaden the existing client base.
Main Responsibilities
To take responsibility for being the immediate point of contact for all Dublin depository relationships.
To consolidate the existing client base and assume the leading role in developing the depositary activity of Ocorian.
To act as a main contact for the CBI, being a designated person for the daily governance of the Dublin office.
To ensure a first‑class depository administration service is delivered to the clients of Ocorian.
Develop, implement and continuously develop the depositary procedures and checklists to ensure they are fit for purpose.
Manage the ongoing development of the depositary systems used within Ocorian liaising with other jurisdictions to ensure a consistent approach to the delivery of depositary services across the Group.
Assist with new business enquiries and, if necessary, estimate budgets, prepare presentations and other useful materials for the business development team.
Contribute to the thought leadership activity of the Ocorian group, including but not limited to writing relevant articles for publication, attending and participating on panels at industry conferences.
Escalate any issues or risks arising from the fund activity of the depositary promptly to the Board of Directors, where appropriate.
Qualifications
Ideally, the post holder will have completed a professional or relevant qualification to a Professional Level (e.g., ACCA/ACA, ICSA).
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Ideally a minimum of 10 years or more relevant fund administration and depositary experience with a strong focus on closed‑ended structures investing in private equity, real estate, infrastructure, venture capital and private debt investment strategies.
Must have a comprehensive understanding and technical knowledge of depositary services.
Strong IT and business development skills.
Ideally previously approved by the CBI in a similar position.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Highly knowledgeable of the general CBI procedures and familiar with the applicable laws and regulations.
Strong time management and organisational skills.
