Job Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the delivery of global accounting activities for assigned entities. In addition, you will develop an understanding of our strategic business direction and play a key role in the future development of the function in order to meet the needs of a growing and changing business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the delivery of regional accounting activities for assigned region/entities, which includes: Perform timely month end, quarter end and year end closing activities; responsible for the close in accordance with US GAAP, including month-end close activities for revenue, cash, prepaids, tangible and intangible assets, accruals and debt
Reviewing monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and other documents to ensure compliance
Statutory reporting
Processing of transactional taxes e.g. VAT
Support annual tax compliance
Liaison with financial planning team to understand changes in financial performance
People
Lead and mentor a team of professional accountants
Focus on talent development, building a strong team
Develop a customer‑centric culture in your team with highly collaborative relationships with the relevant stakeholders
Control Environment
Ensure that company financial records are maintained in compliance with company policies and US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
Accountable for ensuring that company policies and procedures (internal controls) are implemented to provide reasonable assurance that the company assets are protected
Support the Sarbanes Oxley activities relative to internal controls documentation and testing and segregation of duties
Liaise with internal and external auditors
Process, Technology and Service
Report agreed key performance indicators
Support deployment of SAP S/4 HANA and other systems e.g. Blackline to garner greater efficiency within the Record to Report function
Support implementation of Artificial Intelligence and /or RPA to drive further efficiency and effectiveness in our delivery of accounting services
Acquisitions: Support integration into financial operations
Education
Bachelors degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting
Work Experience
Minimum 7+ years of PQE experience with a minimum of 3 years of management experience
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Public Accounting background
Previous Shared Service Centre with multinational publicly quoted company experience
Working knowledge of US GAAP
Proficient in SAP or similar ERP and MS Office suite
Experience of BI tools an advantage
Demonstrated ability to form, lead and develop high-performing teams
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Project management, meeting facilitation, written/oral communication and presentation skills
Able to comply with the company’s safety and quality policy at all times
License and Certifications
Qualified accountant i.e. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA required

Travel Requirements
10%: Up to 26 business days per year
Physical Requirements
Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

Pay Transparency
The annual base salary range for this position is €85,000.00 - €108,100.00. Total target compensation is determined using objective and gender-neutral criteria, including relevant experience, qualifications, skills, market benchmarks, geographic location, and the scope and responsibilities of the role.
This position may be eligible for variable compensation and other incentive programs in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans within the country of employment. In addition, team members are eligible to participate in the company’s benefits and total rewards programs applicable to their location and employment status.
