About the Role
The Team Leader will assist the Residential Services Manager in delivering a quality residential service focused on client needs. They will play a role in managing and planning entry and exiting of service, while supporting clients with physical and sensory disabilities in a person-centred respite service.
They will oversee the delivery of a quality, customer-focused service by implementing and ensuring HIQA regulations and RehabCare standards.
* To provide leadership to staff on a daily basis in the facilitation and implementation of a Person Centered service appropriate to the needs, wishes, and requirements of the clients.
* To supervise and support staff by identifying their training needs and development requirements.
* To ensure the delivery of a quality service by designing, implementing, and reviewing quality monitoring systems appropriate to requirements of a residential service and relevant legislation and standards.
* To ensure that adequate staff cover is provided and participating in the roster where applicable.
* To provide appropriate support and assistance in all aspects of independent living, in accordance with individual support plans.
* To document information, update records, and complete necessary paperwork for communication and accountability purposes in line with HIQA Standards.
* To work in conjunction with the manager to co-ordinate and plan as appropriate to the needs of the services ensuring the efficient day-to-day management of the service.
* To comply with health and safety legislation and ensure the safe use and regular maintenance of all aids and appliances used within the houses.
* To liaise with families, the multidisciplinary team and other personnel as directed by the Centre Manager.
