MCS Group is delighted to announce a new opportunity for a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing international organisation as they seek to migrate their LAMP Infrastructure to the Cloud. (Hybrid County Louth/Open to Remote) The Role: Lead the transition of LAMP stack to a containerized platform. Manage high-availability infrastructure, ensuring uptime exceeds 99.95%. Implement and maintain container orchestration tools. Work with third parties to conduct penetration testing and apply security best practices to protect our infrastructure. Collaborate across teams to standardize tools, processes, and best practices. Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical systems. Monitor and optimise system performance, troubleshoot issues, and enhance security and reliability. Develop automation scripts to streamline operations and deployments. Stay informed on industry trends and integrate relevant new technologies. The Person: Demonstrated expertise in managing high-availability virtual machines. Hands-on experience with container technologies and migration processes. Strong background working with LAMP stack environments. Proficient in containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Helm. Experience with SSH and managing systems running on AlmaLinux. Solid understanding of penetration testing and security best practices. Familiarity with cloud platforms and iPaaS, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash) for automation and system management. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in an international team. Full right to work in Ireland (Stamp 4/EU Citizenship).
