Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled software engineer to join our Research & Development Centre in Cork, Ireland. As a software engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing and testing solutions for a variety of land mobile wireless communications products.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers. Your tasks will involve hands-on interaction with product hardware and lab equipment for development, testing, and debugging.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement and test software solutions for land mobile wireless communications products.
* Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.
* Develop, test and debug software using agile development methodologies.
* Collaborate with colleagues to resolve technical issues and improve software quality.
Requirements
* Bachelors (BS) or Master's (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
* Experience with C/C++ and object oriented development.
* Experience with Linux and/or Unix.
* Advanced debugging skills.
Desirable Skills
* Basic understanding of virtualization technologies such as Docker, Podman etc.
* Experience with Python.
* Exposure to Agile development practices.
* Experience with Git, Jira.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Ability to work with and debug legacy code.
* Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment.
* Understanding of real time processing in an embedded environment.
