Senior Director of Manufacturing & Supply Chain
An innovative and rapidly growing medical device company is seeking a Senior Director of Manufacturing & Supply Chain to join its executive leadership team.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this strategic role will lead global manufacturing operations, supply chain strategy, vendor management and operational excellence initiatives to support continued commercial growth and scale-up activities.
Responsibilities
Lead manufacturing and supply chain operations across the organisation
Develop scalable manufacturing strategies aligned with business objectives
Manage production planning, procurement, logistics and inventory management
Lead relationships with external manufacturing partners and suppliers
Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives
Support technology transfer and manufacturing scale‑up activities
Implement ERP systems, KPIs and operational reporting structures
Identify and deliver cost reduction and margin optimisation initiatives
Develop supply chain resilience and operational risk mitigation strategies
Collaborate cross‑functionally with R&D, Quality, Regulatory and Finance teams
Manage manufacturing budgets and operational financial controls
Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related discipline
MBA, PMP or advanced qualification desirable
15+ years’ leadership experience within the medical device industry
Strong background in manufacturing operations and supply chain management
Experience establishing and scaling medical device manufacturing capabilities
Expertise in ERP systems, vendor management and operational planning
Proven leadership within regulated manufacturing environments
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and commercial skills
