Explore more on Cubic.com.Job Details:The Contracts Manager will be required to provide a commercial service to the business, ensuring that Cubic complies with its contractual obligations; customer organisations are accountable for their obligations under their contract(s) and assistance and commercial support in other departments.
This role will hold responsibility for key contractual workstreams on major Cubic contracts, while also supporting specific departments with commercial oversight and issue resolution.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Review requests for proposals (RFPs) commercially; identify risks; identify unacceptable terms.
Complete overall risks assessment in support of bid-no-bid determinationReview proposals to ensure compliance with company policy and acceptable risk standardsTo lead negotiations effectively with Cubic's customers and suppliers to ensure robust and enforceable contracts are in place in a timely manner and with acceptable risk for CubicTo prepare contractual documents such as licences, loan agreements, NDA's etc.Provide commercial and contractual advice to specific departments allocated and ensure that any issues are resolvedTo monitor and review internal processes such that they remain robust and updated with Company policy and requirementsTo approve and sign correspondence within the requirements of a given contractTo work closely with and provide advice and support to Cubic's Project Managers and department managers in the management of projectsTo ensure that if the customer does not perform its obligations under a contract that Cubic is appropriately compensated for any change in scope of workTo manage variations from receipt to closure including approving and signing of responses and price builds; attending Kick Off meetings and bid reviewsTo manage claims processes in an auditable mannerTo manage and negotiate the timely prosecution of legitimate claims under the contracts held by CubicTo manage and negotiate and mitigate any deleterious effect of claims made on Cubic by sub-contractors and/or suppliersTo consider ways in which new forms of contract may be employed to improve timeliness or efficiency or reduce the risk to CubicTo contribute to the development of strategic objectives of Cubic and to work as directed in implementing themTo liaise closely with Business Development and share market intelligence for the benefit of CubicTo foster and develop relations with key personnel within customers and potential customers such that Cubic are involved as early as possible in any opportunityAttend meetings; prepare presentations and such like as required internally and externallyAll in accordance with the Cubic's approved processesComply with Cubic's values and adherence to all company policy and procedures.
