Key accountabilities; Platform Service Management: Ensuring that platform services (including cloud, 3rd party, and AIB developed) are efficiently managed, reliable and aligned with business outcomes. Platform Architecture and design - Leading the design and architecture of platform services to ensure scalability, reliability and performance. Ensuring the platform can support current and future business needs. Monitoring and Incident Management - Designing and implementing monitoring solutions to track the performance and health of platform services. Setting the standards for alerting and incident management and ensuring issues are resolved promptly to minimise customer impacts. Security & Compliance - Ensuring the platform services are secure and compliant with relevant regulations and standards and aligned to industry best practice. Have the ability respond promptly if vulnerabilities are identified. Leadership: Leading and managing a team of technical professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities, setting clear goals, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Stakeholder Management & Communication: Collaborating with internal & external stakeholders, to understand requirements and ensure outcomes are aligned with requirements. This includes managing relationships with vendors, partners and colleagues and being able to clearly articulate technical issues to different audiences. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements, and implement tools and technologies to streamline operations, improve resilience, increase automation, enhance productivity, reduce risk and manual efforts. Environment management: Lead the management, availability, governance and control of Production, staging and test environments. Lead and implement 24/7 availability, implement assurance teams in line with Environment SLA's. Documentation: Drive the creation and maintenance of the documentation, runbooks, guidelines, and standard operating procedures to ensure continuous knowledge transfer. What you Will Bring; Multi-year experience as a senior site reliability engineer in a Financial Services setting, managing on-prem and Cloud systems and online/batch workloads Solid understanding and practical experience in managing cloud-based architectures, services, and deployment models. Strong diagnostic skills and experience with incident response mechanisms/frameworks. Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement preventative measures. Knowledge & experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Nagios, Grafana, etc Knowledge or experience with secret management technologies such as Venafi, Vault, CyberArk. Experience in Automated build and deployments using Jenkins, Ansible, Bitbucket, JIRA etc. Strong working experience automating with Python, PowerShell, Bash, YAML, JSON, Ansible, or industry equivalents. Knowledge & experience in Docker Containers, Docker Management platforms such as Kubernetes Leadership knowledge of networking and devices (Load Balancers, SSL/TLS, TCP/IP, VPNs, Firewalls, Proxies, DNS) Knowledge or experience working with operating systems such as Linux and Unix.
