Community Care Specialist Role
Care and support are provided to individuals with physical/intellectual disabilities, autism, and other support needs in a community-based environment.

Key responsibilities:
1. Deliver high-quality care and support to individuals with varying needs.
2. Work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to achieve individualised outcomes.
3. Develop and maintain effective relationships with service users, families, and carers.
4. Contribute to the development of plans and methods to meet ongoing needs.
5. Utilise strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate positive interactions.
6. Promote a culture of inclusivity, respect, and dignity.
Requirements:
1. Hold a minimum of a Level 7 on the QQI Framework – BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Health or Social Care.
2. Have 1 year's experience of working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
3. Experience working with challenging behaviours is an advantage.
4. Strong knowledge of legislation protecting vulnerable adults.
5. A full, clean manual driver's license and availability of own car are required.
6. Understanding of current policy and developments in relation to Social Care within disability services.
7. Able to follow, evaluate, and contribute to further plan development.
8. Effective IT skills relevant to the role, including Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
