HSE & Compliance Co-ordinator
Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week (inclusive of 1-hour break)
Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 per annum
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HSE & Compliance Co-ordinator to join a leading UK supplier of bakery products and ingredients. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring compliance and safety standards across the business.
Reporting to the Group HSE & Compliance Manager, you will support the depot management team in implementing Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety policies. You will maintain compliance standards, conduct internal audits, and act as the main point of contact for accreditation and compliance visits.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement and maintain Quality Standards and QMS accreditation (BRCGS).
* Conduct internal audits and assist with third-party audits.
* Manage pest control, hygiene, and instrument calibration.
* Monitor customer complaints and ensure corrective actions.
* Oversee health & safety inspections, risk assessments, and fire drills.
* Ensure compliance with environmental legislation.
* Prepare QHSE documentation and statistical reports.
* Act as the site's lead competent person for Health & Safety.
* Liaise with suppliers, insurers, and contractors to ensure compliance.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement across all departments.
Requirements
Essential:
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
* IOSH qualification (Health & Safety).
* Internal Auditor training.
* Valid UK driving licence.
* Awareness of BRC standards (Storage & Distribution).
Desirable:
* NEBOSH certificate or equivalent.
* Awareness of Quality Standards and Health & Safety regulations.
