Job Description
As a seasoned Health and Safety Specialist, you will lead the development of our health and safety strategy across two locations.
* Ensure compliance with legislation regarding health and safety, fire safety, food safety, and trading standards.
* Manage a team of health and safety professionals working across multiple regions.
* Provide strategic direction for implementing company health and safety standards across all operational areas.
* Chair health and safety working groups and projects to promote best practices and consistency within the organization.
* Oversee responses to enforcement actions or regulatory interventions within designated regions.
* Conduct thorough investigations into serious accidents and incidents, reporting findings to relevant authorities in a timely manner.
* Coordinate reviews of national documentation to ensure alignment with Irish regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* 3+ years' experience in a similar role with a strong focus on health and safety.
* NEBOSH Diploma qualification or equivalent degree-level qualification in health and safety or environmental health.
* Experience managing and coaching a team of health and safety professionals.
* Ideal candidates will have experience within health and safety in retail, logistics, or food safety.
* Strong understanding of Irish health and safety legislation.
* A valid driving license.
